Zoo Will Name A Cockroach After Your Ex And Feed It To A Meerkat for Valentine’s Day

It’s an annual tradition at the El Paso Zoo. On Valentine’s Day, the zoo will name a cockroach after your ex and feed it to a meerkat. The event will be live-streamed on Facebook and on their website. Unlike last year, you won’t be able to message your ex’s name to the zoo through their Facebook page but said they’ll be announcing how to submit names soon.

The El Paso Zoo isn’t the only zoo offering a non-traditional Valentine’s Day promotion. The Hemsley Conservation Center in Kent, England, will name a cockroach after your ex in exchange for a donation. You can also name a roach at the Bronx Zoo, which calls them “eternal” and “timeless” gifts. [Source]
