Watch: Travis Scott Speaks About ‘Astroworld Fest’ In First Interview Since Tragedy

Travis Scott recently sat down for the first with Charlamagne The God to discuss what happened at this years’ Astroworld Fest.

In the interview, Scott said he didn’t find out what actually happened until moments before the official press conference.  Scott talked about being on an “emotional rollercoaster” and tells Charlamagne, “It gets so hard because, you know, I always feel connected with my fans. I went through something and I feel like fans went through something and people’s parents went through something. And it really hurts. It hurts the community, it hurts the city. There’s been a lot of thoughts, a lot of feelings, a lot of grieving, and just trying to wrap my head around it.”

Scott pushed back the notion that his “raging” led to the tragedy of ten people dying as a result of being trampled and suffocated at the event. When asked if he felt a responsibility for what happened, Scott says his responsibility is in finding out what went wrong and how to prevent it from happening at any concert ever again.
