Bathing suits come in all kinds of styles and cuts.

But there’s one thing they have in common: you can wear them to swim in. At least that’s what we assume when buying a swimsuit, right? Well, a woman in the UK recently found out the bikini she bought online wasn’t water-friendly when she got wet wearing it and it bled dye on her.

Alisha, a 22-year-old from Swansea in Wales wore her new teal two-piece bathing suit from Pretty Little Things to the sauna at her gym and she rinsed off in the shower before going in and that’s when she saw the dye running down her leg. Luckily, she was the only one in there, so she avoided a socially awkward situation.

Prepare yourself for the new summer trend… “poolside posing.”

When Alisha reached out to the company, they told her: “on the website, it does say that the set shouldn’t be worn in water.” And the customer service rep pointed out that the bikini’s “official designation” is “for poolside posing only.” Wait… what?!

She’s now an unhappy customer and she tweeted a warning so others wouldn’t buy the swimsuit and make the same mistake she did of thinking you could actually get it wet.
