Major Street in Columbia Closed to Fix Railroad Crossing

If you, or someone you know, commutes into or out of downtown Columbia you may want to find an alternate route for most of this week.
Norfolk Southern says Assembly Street in Columbia south of the Statehouse will be closed starting Monday so crews can complete maintenance and repairs to the railroad crossing.
The work is scheduled to be completed Thursday and, in the mean time, a detour has been set up.
