Ed Sheeran is going to kick off the NFL season in a big way.

Ed Sheeran is actually a big football fan himself (I’m sure he knows it’s not like his football).

He shared in an interview with TODAY, “Yeah, my announcement is, I am playing the NFL Kickoff in Tampa Bay on Sept. 9. And yeah, I’m really excited. First time I’ve done anything really musically for the NFL, and I’m a big fan… It’s a big moment for me. I’ve never done anything really with the NFL.”
